What grants are available for my home?

Several government home upgrade grants exist for different types of homes and households. Here we have focused on grants to provide energy efficiency measures that help to reduce your energy bills, particularly the ECO4 scheme and its associated programmes.

What if my home is not eligible for one of these grants?

We continually update our systems and add in new grants when they become available. When completing our Healthy Homes Solution qualification checker, make sure you tick the box to allow us to send you details of new grants as and when they become available for your area and your home.

What sort of work is covered and how is this decided on?

There is a strict quality process applied to these Government funded schemes now, to protect you and ensure that the correct work for your house is undertaken at the highest quality standards. Because of this, there are also strict rules on what the scheme will pay for and so your house will need to be physically inspected by a qualified Retrofit Assessor and based on their findings a specific plan for you home will be drawn up. The areas that can be considered are (i) insulation, including both solid and cavity wall types and loft; (ii) heating upgrade to make your heating system more energy efficient and (iii) the installation of renewable energy generation such as solar panels. The work must always start with insulation to make sure that your home does not lose heat before the other items can be considered. It is possible for sufficient funding to be granted to undertake several of these measures, but it will depend on the assessment of your home’s specific needs.

Why do you need my data?

The information we ask for is used by Healthy Homes Solutions and our trusted partners. This enables our team to keep you up to date at all times on the progress of the grants and any home upgrade work that needs to be performed. Free government grants have to be lodged with TrustMark UK Limited with legitimate householder contact details for the grant money to be made available.
Healthy Homes Solutions will never sell you data and will only share your data with the relevant companies within the supply chain for informing you of new grants that you or your home qualify for.

How long will the grant application take?

In some instances, there may be additional, complimentary work that falls outside the funding that is recommended as part of your home’s Retrofit Plan. If you wish to proceed with such work, there will be a charge that you agree with the Contractor. However, this will never be a condition of the funded work being undertaken, so it will always be entirely optional. You will have no obligation to continue with the installation should you choose not to progress up until the point you authorise the installation work with Trade Engine Limited.

Is there any cost to me?

Grants are based on your eligibility and the specific needs of your home. For the approved energy efficiency home improvements, there will be no charge to you as a homeowner or tenant. The amount available for each home is determined by the results of the Retrofit Assessment and subsequent plan.
